I John

  1. 2:13  I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
  2. 14  I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
  3. 4:4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
  4. 5:5  Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

  5. 11:35  Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
  6. 36  And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
  7. 37  They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
  8. 38  (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
